1969 Full Size Chevy Exhaust System

The 1969 Full Size Chevy exhaust system kit has been reproduced from original pipes This particular exhaust system used 2 1/2″ head pipes and 2″ tail pipes on the small blocks and 2 1/2″ head pipes and 2″ tail pipes on 427’s except for the 425 horse cars which used 2 1/4″ tail pipes. Our system comes as a kit with the correct size head pipes with correct flats, correct flanges, correct size mufflers logo deleted and correct tail pipes with angle cut , (Original 2″ tail pipes would have had resonators which can be optioned for with one of our kits) correct clamps, installation instructions diagrams and sealant. All hangers have not been reproduced for this system yet, however, we will work with our customers on this system to rebuild there hangers for a nominal fee so they have something to work with.

1964 - 1972 GM 2" Strap Clamp

This strap clamp was used on the all of the 1968 Full Size Chevy dual exhaust systems Our strap clamps have been reproduced from an original and come zinc plated with the correct sheet metal screw. They come standard with our concours show pkg. or can be optioned with one of our entire systems.

Chevy Extensions and Gaskets

These are the correct Chevy extensions and donut gaskets that were used in the head pipes of every chevy from 1957 up until 1972. They come as part of any Gardner Exhaust Chevy Kit

Chevy Stud Kit

This is the correct stud kit for the 1957-1972 Chevys. This stud kit has the correct dog point on the studs and uses the correct stove nuts as original. This kit is available with any of our Chevy systems.

Sealant

Originally a clear silicon sealant was used in all the joint to joint connections on most exhaust systems. This was referred to as "grease" in the assembly manual but it was a clear sealant like the one pictured here. After analyzing original samples off our pipes and searching incessantly we came up with a match with the sealant pictured here. This sealant comes as part of any Gardner Exhaust Kit
