1965 Full Size Chevy Exhaust System

The 1965 Full Size Chevy exhaust system kit has been reproduced from original pipes This particular exhaust system used 2 1/2″ head pipes and 2″ tail pipes on the small blocks and 2 1/2″ head pipes and 2″ tail pipes on the 396’s and 427’s except for the 425 horse cars which used 2 1/4″ tail pipes. Our system comes as a kit with the correct size head pipes with correct flats, correct flanges, correct size mufflers logo deleted and correct tail pipes with angle cut , (Original 2″ tail pipes would have had resonators which can be optioned for with one of our kits) correct clamps, installation instructions diagrams and sealant. Correct reproduction Gardner Exhaust exclusive hand-built hangers are available.

1965-1967 Full Size Chevy Muffler Hangers

These are the correct reproduction hangers for the 1965-67 full size chevys with dual exhaust. These hangers have not been available for many years but the full size chevy hobbiest need not worry any longer. These are an exclusive Gardner Exhaust reproduction and have been reproduced from the originals seen here. Our hangers are hand built with the correct rivets, backing plates, and corded rubbers. All hangers ared zinc plated for longevity and are available as a kit with one of our show quality 1965-67 Full Size Chevy exhaust systems. 1965 - 1966 Full Size Chevy Tail Pipe Hangers:

These hangers are a reproduction of the orginal hangers used on all duel exhaust full size chevys from 1965-1966 except the high horse power cars. These hangers have not been available for many years. Our hangers come hand built zinc plated, wih correct corded rubbers, correct rivets, retainers and all the corect bracketry. These hangers are available with any of our 1965-1966 full size chevy systems and are another Gardner Exhaust exclusive product.

1964 - 1972 GM 2" Strap Clamp

This strap clamp was used on the all of the 1966 Full Size Chevy exhaust systems except the 1966's equipped with the L-72 engine. Our strap clamps have been reproduced from an original and come zinc plated with the correct sheet metal screw. They come standard with our concours show pkg. or can be optioned with one of our entire systems.

1962-1974 Big Block Heat Riser

This is the correct big block heat riser for the 1961-1972 Big Block Chevys. They come with the correct chevy big block gasket and are available with any of our Chevy big block exhaust systems.

Chevy Stud Kit

This is the correct stud kit for the 1957-1972 Chevys. This stud kit has the correct dog point on the studs and uses the correct stove nuts as original. This kit is available with any of our Chevy systems.

Sealant

Originally a clear silicon sealant was used in all the joint to joint connections on most exhaust systems. This was referred to as "grease" in the assembly manual but it was a clear sealant like the one pictured here. After analyzing original samples off our pipes and searching incessantly we came up with a match with the seaman pictured here. This sealant comes as part of any Gardner Exhaust Kit
