1969 Firebird Exhaust System

1969 Firebird Exhaust System consisted of 2″ head pipes, tail pipes and 2 1/4″ over the axle pipes on the std duty systems and 2 1/4″ head pipes with the ram air systems. Both of these systems used two resonators and one transverse muffler. Our reproductions systems come with the correct size head pipes with correct flats correct over the axle pipes and correct tail pipes with correct oval shaped angle cut.
The kit will also include correct two hole front hangers, GM style clamps, correct size resonators and muffler all correct attaching hardware, correct flanges, installation instructions diagrams and sealant. Hand built hangers are available for the purist as well as a concourse package for all who would like to prevent rust. 1967-1969 Firebird Front Hanger:

This hanger is another Gardner Exhaust Exclusive Reproduction. Original hangers used backing plates, smaller rivets corded rubbers and two screw holes instead of five quite often seen in the aftermarket. Our exclusive hangers are built by hand to replicate the originals

1967 - 1974 Pontiac Clamp

These clamps are absolutely correct for any 1967 to 1974 Firebird restoration. There has never been a high quality reproduction of this clamp. Our clamps have been reproduced from the clamp picturted here come zinc plated and are available with any of our 1967 - 1974 firebird exhaust systems.

1967-1969 Firebird Strap Clamp

This is the correct strap clamp that was originally used to attach the tail pipes to the tail pipe hangers. They come zinc plated to aid in longevity and have been reproduced from an original.

Sealant

Originally a clear silicon sealant was used in all the joint to joint connections on most exhaust systems. This was referred to as "grease" in the assembly manual but it was a clear sealant like the one pictured here. After analyzing original samples off our pipes and searching incessantly we came up with a match with the sealant pictured here. This sealant comes as part of any Gardner Exhaust Kit
